Training for Employment
PACE provide a range of training options including woodwork, metalwork, horticulture, art and design, communications, interpersonal and computer skills. The aim of the training is to provide a supported environment for people who want to change their lives after a criminal conviction through training, education, work experience and employment. We offer fully accredited courses along with individual programme planning for each participant which includes CV preparation, interview skills and employability skills. We also have access to funding for participants to achieve Safepass, Manual Handling and various other external courses that they have an interest in.
The Project Works for...
The project works intensively with both men and women on preparing them for progression into employment or further education/training opportunities. Our programmes are particularly beneficial to people who have served lengthy sentences in custody and provide support to those transitioning from prison to the community. Our overall aim is to support our participants to live safely in the community. The keyworker model of support is an essential part of the successful reintegration process and provides support for the participants in addressing various issues including addiction, reconnecting with family.
