Scout and Guide den work in Portmarnock
PACE were approached to help with this project in Portmarnock recently.
Thomas Bell of Scouting Ireland outlined the process:
“On the completion of the new Scout and Guide Centre in Portmarnock we required a set of gates that would compliment the high standard of finish on the facility which will be used by over 250 young people and indeed the general community.
We were also looking for a design that would be both functional and also reflect the identity of both organisations – Scouting Ireland and Irish Girl Guides.”
After consultation with PACE Manager Maggie Clune, Damien Doran and his team took the ‘brief’ and the gates were designed and manufactured to very highest standard.
They have been erected and we now have a unique and spectacular set of gates which indeed compliment the building and the workmanship has been commented favourably upon by all.
“We are very proud of our new centre and indeed very thankful to PACE for their generosity and help.
We have a 75 year lease on the centre and we are confident that the PACE gates will remain a striking feature to welcome many new members far into the future.”
